چکیده
Abstract Microplastics are plastic particles less than 5 mm in size but larger 0.1 µm. Widespread microplastic pollution aquatic and terrestrial environment is raising serious concern globally due to its detrimental impacts on living beings. This urge for the necessity of a sensitive analytical tool, which can facilitate reliable identification microplastics. Micro-Raman spectroscopy enables molecular level structural details samples thus highly preferable microplastics water. Besides being non-destructive technique enabling fast analysis, this requires minimal/no sample preparation. The present work demonstrates performance custom built spectrometer discrimination various water based samples. Micro- Raman analysis have been found quite successful Polystyrene (PS), Polyethylene terephthalate (PET), High Density Poly ethylene (HDPE), Low (LDPE) etc. spectral data capable enough high-density polyethylene (HDPE,> 0.940 g/cm 3 ) low-density (LDPE,< 0.930 microplastics, especially variations C-H stretching vibrations (2825-2970 cm −1 ). ratio intensities asymmetric CH 2 mode (2879 symmetric (2847 be higher HDPE with respect LDPE. A Novel Technique for Raman Analysis of Highly Radioactive Samples Using Any Standard Micro-Raman Spectrometer
A novel approach for the Raman measurement of nuclear materials is reported in this paper. It consists of the enclosure of the radioactive sample in a tight capsule that isolates the material from the atmosphere. The capsule can optionally be filled with a chosen gas pressurized up to 20 bars. The micro-Raman measurement is performed through an optical-grade quartz window. This technique permit...
متن کاملSemi-quantification of surface-enhanced Raman scattering using a handheld Raman spectrometer: a feasibility study.
The feasibility of utilizing a handheld Raman spectrometer for surface-enhanced Raman scattering detection was evaluated on the pesticide ferbam. A layman's "answer box" was established for semi-quantifying the risk level of ferbam. This study advanced the application of a handheld Raman spectrometer to on-site evaluation of trace amounts of analytes.

The correct identification of smartphones has various applications in the field of security or the fight against counterfeiting. As the level of sophistication in counterfeit electronics increases, detection procedures must become more accurate but also not destructive for the smartphone under testing. Some components of the smartphone are more likely to reveal their authenticity even without a...
متن کاملRemote Uv Raman Spectroscopy for Planetary Exploration Using a Miniature Spatial Heterodyne Raman Spectrometer
Overview: Raman spectroscopy is ideally suited for planetary exploration, because Raman spectra provide detailed molecular and structural information, very useful for geochemical measurements as well as to measure organic and inorganic biomarkers in the search for past or present life on other planets [1]. Raman scattering, a very weak process, can be relatively strong at deep UV wavelengths be...
